Description: Always hopping with multiple live bands, this sprawling nightclub complex is really popular with the 30-and-older crowd. If it seems like it’s been around forever, that’s because there are more than 18,000 square feet of space that, over the years, has amassed a collection of thousands of antiques and curios including china plates and dolls, Victorian furniture, window treatments, and antique light fixtures. Live music is usually presented with three acts performing simultaneously on different stages. The acts include jazz, oldies, rhythm and blues, rock, alternative, big band, blues, contemporary, country, disco, and rockabilly. There are eight unique rooms, all under one roof for one admission price: the Ballroom, the Good Time Room, the Melody Bar, the Balcony Bar, the Billiard Parlour, Memory Lane, the Cubbyhole, and the Courtyard. Jim Porter’s is popular with ballroom dancers as well, and Wednesday nights there is always salsa music.
