Description: Named one of the 10 best family restaurant chains by Parents magazine, the Old Spaghetti Factory has some 50 locations in this country and abroad, in addition to the one in Louisville at the corner of Third and Market. Located in the historic Levy Building, the restaurant has decor consistent with that of every other Old Spaghetti Factory in the chain: eclectic antiques, chandeliers, and brass headboards and footboards as bench backs for the booths. As with the others in the chain, this one has as its most prominent feature a streetcar in the middle of the restaurant, with seating inside. The Old Spaghetti Factory is known for serving its famous “complete meals” that always include soup or salad, fresh-baked bread, milk, coffee, hot or iced tea, and vanilla or spumoni ice cream in addition to the entree item, which is often pasta and sauce.
