Description: Consistently voted the best steakhouse by readers of local publications such as Louisville Magazine, Kentucky Monthly, and LEO, Pat’s Steak House has a tradition of serving up grilled cuts of beef and thick pork chops and veal cutlets that goes back to 1958. A hundred years before that, it was an inn and stagecoach stop, so its roots as a place for hospitality run very deep. Inside, the restaurant’s comfortable dining rooms provide the ideal, old-school atmosphere for guests to relax and enjoy, bathed in the warm amber glow of aged wood. In addition to hand-trimmed cuts of beef, you’ll find thick-cut pork chops and veal cutlets. There are also items like pan-fried oysters, country ham, baked salmon, and fried chicken, in addition to meat loaf, chicken livers, and frog legs. They also have a good selection of salads, sandwiches, and desserts, too. Payment at this historic Louisville Irish landmark is by personal check or cash only, and an ATM is located at the front entrance. Open at 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday for dinner, Pat’s Steak House is closed on Sunday.
