Description: Well known throughout the region, and regarded as a model center by other cities across the country, the Jeffersontown Senior Citizens Center is noted for a wide variety of activities, programs, and services. Located in a historic building in downtown Jeffersontown in the East End, its setting makes it a popular gathering place for its 2,400 members. Attractive interior decorating and pleasant color schemes add to the draw. In addition to a 4,200-square-foot ballroom for dances and parties, the first floor has a kitchen-dining area, a meeting room with plush furniture and fireplace, and an activity room; on the second floor seniors have access to a computer classroom, a craft and sewing room, an exercise and fitness room, hair salon, a quilting room, and more. Welcoming seniors Monday through Friday, the Jeffersontown Senior Citizens Center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
