Description: The Myrtle Beach Tennis Center, right in the middle of it all, has 10 courts, including 8 that are lighted for nighttime playing. There are also two sand volleyball/beach tennis courts.The price is $2 per person per hour, with no court time fees. Lessons are offered, and there is even a match setup service. The facility is open Mon through Fri from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and again from 3 to 8 p.m. On Sat it’s open from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and again from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. It is closed Sun.

Lights allow you to play all night; however, when the center closes at 9 p.m., so do the restroom facilities.The 20th Avenue South complex has six lighted courts, along with restrooms and outdoor water fountains. All courts are asphalt-covered.

Description: Trips depart daily, Mar through Dec, from Calabash waters. Hurricane’s armada includes the 90-foot Hurricane II, the 77-foot Westwind, the 45-foot Cyclone, and the 40-foot Party Time.Bottom-fishing trips range from half day to full day in the Gulf Stream and include excursions specifically for snapper. Trolling and other sportfishing trips of 41⁄2 to 12 hours can be arranged, as well as nighttime shark fishing. Public and private charters are available. Half days are $40 per person for adults and $35 for children; full days run $85 for adults and $75 for children. Reservations are recommended. Rod, reel, bait, and tackle are provided.
