  • Dented cans found in dry storage room. Unrefrigerated drink mix bottles found in cupboard that say "refrigerate after opening". Ensure dented cans are separated and drink mix bottles are refrigerated after opening.
  • Salad plates stored on top of one another without protection. Ensure at least one layer of protection is used if storing salad plates on top of one another.
  • Preparation dates observed on products from several days ago. No use-by dates observed at time of inspection. Ensure all prepared items are labeled with a use-by date of no longer than 7 days after preparation. The day of preparation counts as day 1.
  • Sanitizing solution observed stored next to and above clean dish ware. Ensure toxic chemicals are stored below and away from food and food contact surfaces. Corrected on site.
  • Patty maker found broken and held together with duct tape. Ensure broken food contact surfaces are discarded and all food contact surfaces are kept smooth, easily cleanable, nonabsorbant, and durable. Corrected on site.

  • 229.166 (f) (2) (A)HWS>100F. Observed employee (Women's) restroom to not have hot water (100 degrees F )available. Ensure hand sinks have hot water readily available at all times. Inspector will return 04/09/2015 to ensure this hand sink has been repaired.

Employee observed not using proper hand washing procedure before they handle ready to eat foods(prepared chicken for chicken salad), and not using suitable utensils or single-use gloves to prevent cross contamination. Employees must follow proper handwashing procedure in between tasks by washing with soap and hot water for 20 seconds and dry with paper towel.
  • 229.163 (n) (1) eat.drink.smoke.. Employee found drinking from an open cup(cup of coffee,located on a food rack) in non-designated areas such as the food prep, food storage and ware wash areas.
  • 229.166 (i) (1) (B) HWS improper use(utensils and equipment stored on Bar HWS). Use this sink is for handwashing only.
  • 229.167 (p) (5) use of wrong sinks. Food employee washed hands in a food prep sink (employee preparing chicken salad). Employees must wash hands in a handwashing lavatory or approved automatic handwashing facility.
