Violation: 3910 - The fire department notified the Health Department that an imminent health hazard may exist because of an fire in the kitchen.
Discontinue operations because of an imminent health hazard in your establishment due to a fire.
Comments:
After receiving a call from the fire department, a fire inspection was conducted. Spoke to fire department personnel who stated the fire was confined to the hood system. However, once the hood heated up, it dripped onto the stove causing a quick flash fire. Spoke to establishment owner after completing inspection and informed him that the food on the steam table, spices on the rack next to stove, and the pan of food on the stove need to be thrown out due to possible contamination. Empolyee was observed starting to dump the food while this inspection report was being written.
The fire department has stop the use of the hood until it has been cleaned and inspected by the fire department. Restaurant health permit is suspended until such time as the kitchen area is cleaned and sanitized, firm passes fire department inspection of hood, and a re-inspection by the Health department and notification by the Health department in writting of the release of permit from suspension.
