Warpt, what were the temps? I think you need at least -30 and probably more like -50 to really get them brittle enough to actually shatter.

Possibly I need to play with the solution receipe to get them to freeze better in the warmer temps of -20.

It's really neat though.

Oh, oh, what have I done - I hope the melt doesn't end up sudsy.

Brian

It was minus twenty last night, it's minus 21 now. I'll give it a go later on.

Oh my god, can you believe this thread is 696 pages long????? Rance, any chance to archive this one where we can still get to it & start another? Just a thought. So, I hope everyone had a good New Years. I didn't end up doing the Polar Bear Plunge, too much of a chicken! However, I actually had a pretty sober New Years, my friend was a little bit worse for the wear & ended up going home at 12:40, which was kind of a bummer for me but hey, at least I was NOT hung over yesterday! And I did see some fireworks, but they were quite a ways away. And NO gunshots, thank god! I can't believe that's legal to do that up there, dang! The cops would be all over that here, that's for sure. Of course, it is an urban area....duh! Anyway, hope everyone is safe, warm & well!

I rarely get sick. My biggest thing is to be outside as much as possible, no matter what the weather. It seems to do the trick for me.

I am outside a lot, but when the creeping crud decides you're it, TAG, you're it for the duration. Lucky me, I made it through Christmas Day and then my body decided it was not fighting this any longer.

I get sick every 3-4 years, and it normally only takes a day to bull through whatever it is. This time, I want to crawl back into bed, and it's a week later.
