I heard Redoubt blew this morning & melted a glacier. Apparently the lower 48 news didn't care anymore about it. Is everyone alright?

You mean give away what took me a couple years to perfect?
Laboring over hundreds of carcasses...fighting off wasps and flies...breaking down into tears because the damp days molded my flesh...inhaling cancer causing (in California) smoke...confined to the house babysitting the smoker...hours of cutting fillets into perfect strips...the catching of fish in all sorts of weather, the endless hours of filleting, the curing, the rinsing, the drying, the brushing?

I might be able to...depends on who wins the superbowl!

Seismic unrest continues at Redoubt. Activity is still well above normal background levels. Nothing new to report -- seismic levels have again remained about the same over the last few hours.

AVO continues to observe potential activity with seismic, satellite and radar data. The volcano has not erupted.

An AVO observation flight this afternoon reported no sign of ash emission, but observed significant steaming from a new melt depression at the mouth of the summit crater near the vent area of the 1989-90 eruption.

The Aviation Color Code remains at ORANGE and the Volcano Alert Level remains at WATCH.

I don't think it's gone off yet. I just checked the seismic data. And the last report yesterday's fly over showed no ash...just steam. Yes there is a second melt hole...about the size of two football fields now. She's getting hotter...but I don't think it's gone off yet.

My bad warpt. I was hearing snippets of the national propaganda stream as I sat on the toilet earlier this morning. Did you feel the earthquake?

Well that's a relief. The news here is now showing people buying face masks at the hardware stores.

What's up with this BS about building a road to Nome?

They've been buying up face masks for a week! And I haven't heard anything about a road to Nome. I wonder if they'll have a bridge?

Freddie's is now breaking the packages of masks open and selling them individually.
