Why not just move to Phoenix like everyone else. There is a reason it is the 5th largest city in the US. I personally dislike the heat, and what Phoenix has to offer, but considering what you desire, Yuma, would be one of the last places I would goto in AZ. Tucson, Phoenix, Flagstaff, even Prescott has some cool stuff going on. But in all honesty, Phoenix is just 100,000 Yuma's spread out through the city boundaries, most central/southern AZ cities are, well the ones with the planned communities, and strip malls, not to mention the Walmart's on every corner.
