BTW, I pretty much always have at least one cat...I haven't seen a scorpion but ONCE in 6 years of living in my current home and our house backs up to a wash.
That's interesting. So are scorpions scared of cats or do cats kill them?

Vats kill them and they are immune to their stings! I have seen my cats attack them a couple of times...the cat wins every time!

Definitely not immune to their stings, they just do a good job of not getting stung.

Mongeese can attack and kill cobras, especially when in packs. Ive seen many cobra win the bout though. Meerkats often kill and eat scorpions if thats what youre thinking about.

Thanks. I hope that works for you. I'll have to look into that stuff. We would like to place granules outside near the perimeter of our apartment.

My apartment complex says they put granules out in the wash last week but I want put some more down. I just remembered that my friend's b/f owns an exterminating company so I asked her and he said since the scorpions have already been inside, I should get the inside sprayed. He said he has "pet safe" stuff so I may do that too.

It's tough with apartments b/c if the guy next to you lives like a slob and has a line of bugs lined up at his door waiting to move in and join in the food fest, there's not much you can do b/c the bugs will trickle over to your place eventually. I'd definitely have my apartment sprayed at least bi-monthly, especially since you know for sure that you have scorpions....which means you've got other bugs too....

I'm all about the bug spray....the old saying "better living through chemistry" works on many different levels

Tie some dental floss low across the floor, about an inch high. Their tails get caught up in it.
