Today I paid $3.00 at Albertson's in Peoria, AZ. The average is between $3.00 and $3.50. Though they ocassionally have sales where it runs about $1.99. Sales are getting farther and fewer in between.

Default cost of gallon of milk

I never pay more than 2.00/gallon of mmilk. Walmart ad matches and someone always has milk on sale. Not "cherry-picking", just smart shopping. If no one has a good price, go to Costco/Sam's Club and pay the $5.00/2 gallons. I live in Gilbert, AZ, so prices can't be that much different in Tucson.

I get my milk at the Basha's just up the street. It's usually on sale. I just bought 3 gallons for $1.57 per gallon. I wish my car ran on milk.
This week they are selling half gallons for 88 cents each.

Basha's 1/2 gal .88 cent sale is through Sunday only. Last week Fry's had milk for $1.58 gal, this week it's $2.58 gal, and next week someone else will probably have it on sale too. They're using milk right now as a loss leader to get you into the srore.

It's amazing how this thread picked up again after five years, just like nothing had happened, and even with some of the same players.
