There are 17 cities in Manila. He's referring to the number of skyscraper clusters, and there probably are 20 of them, but small clusters of 2-3 buildings are not CBDs. This is the smallest cluster that I would consider to be a CBD in Manila.

But this place has more of an American office park feel rather than a CBD feel.

In terms of tallest building proposed (of which i wouldn't rely on) Jakarta have 2 megatall, Signature tower (650m) and Pertamina Energy tower (550m) and tenth of 300m towers, 3 of which currently under construction.

Bangkok only have one CBD but its sprawl and cluster form a very nice skyline, Jakarta have several CBDs, the youngest one is Puri Indah CBD and one satelite CBD in Tanggerang suburban Jabodetabek. Current main CBD of Jakarta is the goldern triangle of Thamrin-Sudirman (with skyscrapers lined in major avenue surrounded by urbanized villages), Rasuna Said and Senayan, with several sophisticatedly privately owned CBD of Mega Kuningan and SCBD. In terms of luxury condos which you were so triumphly blabber about, there is many in Jakarta with height being above 200m (you can refer to the listing n wikipedia). So nothing really in Manila currently can impress me of being better than Jakarta, because to me both are just chaotic metropolis, Manila formed good cluster but most of its CBD are privately owned which really explain how good the cluster plans are compared to chaotic Bangkok and Jakarta.

And in terms of infrastructure i would refer to this actually, plus they have considerably good comparison: World Economic Forum - Home

^^ omg are you blind? lol score infras: Indonesia 4.2 global rank 61, Philippines 3.4 global rank 96... same goes with the macroeconomic ranking, health and education, and all of the GCIs. Frankly it shows that Indonesia do in general have better infrastructure, including the capital city.

Maybe i should've explained it earlier.

Wow, how friendly.. how can you win the promo 500 usd here wth your remarks that would be huge in your rupiah sir..

Anyway, again, let's limit to Jakarta n Manila. That figures is given, why? you have a huge land area and territory as compare to us. off course infrastructure computed on the over all basis, that covers your entire archipelago which is double or even triple of our size.

I couldn't agree more sir

and yes, building clusters of 2-3 were not included in those 20 plus CBDs. CBDs here in M.M. at the smallest around 4-5 streets like ROCKWELL CENTER in Makati, though very luxurious

Maybe Indonesia has better infrastructure than the Philippines, but I don't think Jakarta has better infrastructure than Manila. All of the comparisons that I've read on other threads say that Jakarta has worse traffic and it's less pedestrian friendly, some also say that it's more polluted. Go and search for threads on Jakarts vs Manila and read the comments. Also, Manila at least has an LRT/MRT system. It's not great but it's something
