^ That map has nothing to do with friendliness.

and I find it hilarious that the map suggests that Brazil and South Africa are safer than Japan

I think it's just because of the nuclear disaster, hence the 'avoid some areas.' I don't think the map is suggesting Japan as a whole is more dangerous.

that map is hilarious.....yellow is "avoid some areas"...so i guess avoid Russia all together...i guess they're still accounting for Chernobyl or something....lol...same goes for all other countries with solid colors...map is messed up or maybe they decided to let a five year old just color in the map..need to be more specific areas within country.

From the countries I've visited:

1. Philippines
2. Vietnam
3. Malaysia
4. Thailand
5. China (people have bad manners, but they are very friendly because I can speak chinese)
6. Japan (they are extremely nice, but too shy to be considered "friendly")
7. Cambodia
8. South Korea

I've never had a difficult time travelling in Asia, with the exception of South Korea. Customer service is lousy, people ignore you, and they have attitude.

What about the other countries? Mongolia? India? Pakistan? Saudi Arabia? Lebanon? Qatar? Kyrgyzstan? Nepal? Oman? Bhutan? Iran? Iraq? Kazakhstan?

Why is the opinion about Asia so restricted?

How many people here have been to those countries? Bar maybe India and Nepal?

I met a Saudi man who was a little TOO friendly. He invited me up to his hotel room to give me a massage.
