We can't all think in continous-consumption pattern from here to eternity. It's just not sustainable.

If Japan is as smart as people think it is, it will allow this decrease and be a million times better off in the long-term. And since they aren't a short-term reactionary type of country, they'll 100% ride it out, and be so much better off for it.

Japan is a short term reactionary country, thats how their debt level went out of control.

And while I agree population drop is not Japans biggest problem, I don't think Japan will be better off with a sharp population drop. Slight reduction in population is good, a sharp drop in population is not.

Last time they were worried about rising population something called a co prosperity sphere was started. Didn't work out too well for Japan or it's neighbors.

Whenever I hear someone throw out a 'THEY are RACIST', with a big large net cast over an entire population. My first feeling is that the person making the claim is racist against the target group.

In other words, your statement sounds racist to me.

the Japanese are not racist in the sense that they consider other races inferior. They just happen to adore Caucasians and consider other races inferior. I don't know how to call that
