It is always hardest on the ones who remain, Miss Blue.

It's completely irrational but we are creatures of time and the first anniversaries are the hardest.

I don't know how many times I turned to my wife after she died to remark on something, only to remember that she wasn't there to remark to. It was the worst on holidays or in special situations we shared.

My thoughts are with them ... it does get better in time.

Moderator cut: scrutinizing and reference to moderation.

I'll miss his wit and crafting skills at the keyboard. I'm sure his regrets would be for those that he has left behind and are saddened by his death.

And damit, he was too young

So, over the course of a few years, I have cut and pasted Rifleman's posts and saved them to my laptop (although, I would have never admitted it to him it's a bit stalker-ish I admit). I've been a part of CD for years, and I rarely come across people with that type of talent. I really enjoyed his writing, his humor... he was entirely entertaining... and only wished that I was half as articulate and witty as he was.

It's depressing really... I hate when bright lights go out.

This is one of the videos he posted several months ago. Made me LMAO. Total Rifleman humor.

Thanks Rifleman. You were awesome and will be remembered and missed.

I'll miss you dude!

Always thought he was a great mind, but never knew he had such classic taste in motorcycles. The things we learn to late to be of use.

RIP

I miss his posts. I got a kick out of his writing style.

Also, I second what others have said about his family in terms of his first birthday and first holiday season since he passed. That "year of firsts" is awful.

Wow- this is the first I have read about him no longer being with us. I logged in after a long time and get this sad news. I will certainly miss him and his thoughts.

I was just looking through some old threads and saw his "Eternal Member" tag. What a bummer! His posts were pedantic, condescending, and incredibly fun to read. I'll miss that guy.

Hopefully he's out there somewhere with Campbell78, and they can both just look at each other and say "well this isn't what I expected at all!"
