That is one incredibly ambitious map, to say the least.

It could easily be done for $100 billion or so.

Not bad. But after all that construction I won't be able to ride from Reynoldstown to Glenwood Park?

That's not bad, we just need Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, Douglas, Henry, Fayette, Paulding, Cherokee, and Clayton voters to approve a 20% sales tax, get the matching funds from the Feds, quickly secure new right-of-way before the NIMBYs catch wind of this, and we'll have that dream system in no time!

I'd vote for it. I wouldn't need a car to get anywhere ever again!

Ye gods and little fishes! 20% SALES TAX. Oh how we'd bleed ourselves. Even I'm not sure that would be worth the beauty of that system...

I'm all for extensive systems, but that's a little overboard.

How about the Beltline? It will be possible if light rail comes to fruition.

My answer, depending on what you mean:

Too many lines? Maybe you're right.
Unnecessary destinations? There are a few.
Too much rail? This is assuming money is no obstacle.
