FYI, the train station on Lenox Road has been open for almost 30 years...
Or maybe, they broke into AND stole a car(s) and drove away in it with all their "goodies".

My POINT was we now blame the victim for "inviting" crime. Its one thing if somebody is buying drugs or engaging in other "risky" behavior. Its another when they have the "audacity" to leave their sunglasses on the dash while parked in their own driveway.

Possibly. What that has to do with MARTA is beyond me.

Yes, why should anyone have responsibility for their goods being left out for anyone to grab.

Can you refrain from the extreme exaggerations for a moment? Nobody is talking about sunglasses and nobody is balming the victim. If you leave a laptop, or a GPS, and ipad, an electirc guitar, or any other desirable device in plain view in your car, not only is it very likely to be gone when you get back, but if it is gone you'll also find your window broken.

Creating a scenario in which something is more likely to happen to you is not the same as "deserving" for it to happen.

By your logic, a dermatologist thinks a skin cancer patient deserves skin cancer because they didn't apply sunscreen often enough.

I have to agree with you on that. There's no reason to fault somebody whose car was broken into. It's the robber who is in the wrong.

Because wheverer Marta goes increased crime goes with it.

Left out? As in when I had the foolishness to park my car, with no valuables showing, in a downtown parking garage, overnight? I was staying in a nearby hotel, and both windows were smashed. I guess it was my fault for the factory CD player being visible from outside (no CDs showing)

Because as sure as the sun shines people will engage in theft, robbery and other such abominable behavior, I suppose.

Actually, your stance is good fodder for gun rights folks: No matter what, crimes will occur, therefore best to protect yourself. In fact, if you dont own/carry a weapon for deterrence purposes, you display weakness, and thus are a legit target.

Such "logic" is why I personally own three guns. Now just need to get off my arse and apply for a carry permit. Otherwise its just a matter of time before somebody robs me because I was foolish enough to allow my wallet bulge to show through my pants, and failed to arm myself.

I didn't say that these crooks took Marta. I didn't imply that, either. Marta did bring the criminal element to Buckhead, as predicted.

OMG I was on MARTA last night and it was full of thieves carrying electronics from Buckhead.
Get Serious. You know damn well cars were involved, not trains. That MARTA argument is so tired.

Okay. But if they didn't take the train or the bus I don't see how MARTA is tied into it.
