Or even if you don't. It's on the ballot in many cities in Georgia!

I sure hope everybody who grouses about not being able to buy booze on Sunday gets off their rear and goes down to vote. If not they have nothing to complain about.

Is anyone here NOT planning to vote for Sunday alcohol sales? I've heard so very little about this in the news that I have absolutely no idea how people feel about it.

Is it dumb to assume this will pass in Atlanta easily?

I think it easily passes in the city of Atlanta, but would not be shocked to see it get voted down in some suburbs. Very curious to see the results.

It's a question of who votes. In the city mayoral election in 2005, for instance, voter turnout was a whopping 22%.

It's probably a fair guess that the folks who oppose Sunday sales are pretty well organized. So who knows?

I'm personally predicting a win in Atlanta, and possibly Roswell, Alpharetta, East Point and Union City, maybe a very narrow win in Johns Creek, and a loss in Sandy Springs. Who knows what age demographics will show up though...that'll pretty much decide it.

I never understood why a community, county or even a state would deny themselves a day of collecting taxes on alcohol when people are going to drink anyway,
