The BA ethos seems to be new and exclusive stores, at least for the time being Warby Parker fits that bill. Those other cities just have local shops that sell WP product, this will be a full line store and the first one outside NYC/LA/Boston.

It's hard to justify paying $40 for a pair of sunglasses.

Not if they're prescription.

I guess, but that would still be out of my league.

WP is an eyeglass store like no other- limited selection, but fast service and ultra-hip. I went with my daughter to the Upper Eastside store in NYC and it was packed with hipsters (well as hip as the UES gets). VERY reasonably priced for a pair of prescription glasses....

They also donate a pair for every pair sold. I have a pair of WP glasses. I like them a lot, but unfortunately I tripped and the lenses got damaged when they fell to the ground. They're definitely better quality than my other glasses, which are cheap (but good quality for the price) Zenni glasses.

I am with you arjay. But, then when I go to Manhattan I do not go to Manhattan, New York either.

Warby Parker have got some awesome glasses for cheap. Only problem is that the frames are flimsy and, well, cheap-feeling. If you're gonna spend $100, might as well spend an extra $30 for Ray-Ban. Unless you're fighting against the Luxottica monopoly, in which case I understand and salute you.
