I voted yes, I forgot Im still registered to vote in North Clayton, even though I live in Cobb. So I had to go down to Clayton to vote, totally forgot the Marta thing was going on until I got there and seen all the signs. Good for Clayton, glad I was able to help.

Final tally is 74 to 26 yes, even higher than the non-binding referendum 4 years ago. I am very excited for the economic future of the county. I am more excited for the bus service right now than the train, which I really hope will be HRT or a commuter rail than runs very often. But the buses are dear to me, when I was a high school junior and senior as well as a freshman and sophomore at GSU, I rode C-Tran daily. I am also excited for MARTA prospects of looking into other counties: Cobb, Gwinnett, Forsyth, Douglass, Henry, and Rockdale. With this vote Atlanta transportation future is looking bright to me.

Great news! Hopefully Marta holds its end of the bargain up and fulfill the train part of the project. I suspect other counties are going to be in the position of sitting back and watching how things play out in Clayton. I think it’s crucial (a make or break for the whole region) that Marta gets this right in regards to luring new counties for future expansion. Hurry up and wait…..I guess.

Very happy for Clayton County residents, I think the quickest rail link should come from the international terminal into Clayton Co.

How long ago did you move to Cobb?

If its over ~60 days ago you just committed voter fraud in Clayon (Georgia).

This is a huge win for metro Atlanta and MARTA. It shows that people have faith in MARTA and are willing to tax themselves for transit.

Hallelujah!
I'll be retired by the time a possible future train route into the city could make my commute easier but I'll still happily pay the extra penny sales tax to get the transit improvements funded for the future.
The rollout of new bus service however will begin incrementally in Clayton in 2015 & will give some immediate rewards to commuters.
In the interim, I'll continue to commute into the city daily via GRTA express bus service.
