As I previously predicted, we now have two Trader Joe's locations due to open before the downtown Seaholm location will... South Mopac and Great Hills.

You know almost every TJ's thread turns into a "what's the big deal?" and then spins off to In-N-Out

I'm not a TJ's junkie by any means but for me, a recent transplant who is having issues finding things that are familiar, a TJ's would go a long way with my homesickness. The TJ's brand is exclusive to them and there is just something comforting in the familiar, plus I love love love their Bay Blend coffee. I've tried just about every similarly priced coffee over the years and TJ's is my fav. I stock up and panic when I get low. Again, its more of a homey comfort thing for me.

In-N-Out. I love IN-N-Out and I also love Whataburger and I think that P.Terrys is very similar to In-N-Out. We went to In-N-Out in Dallas over Christmas and again, its a taste of home and the familiar.

I believe In-N-Out is slated for the Austin area, the company recently opened a distribution facility in Dallas and is expanding into areas of Texas. I would enjoy having an In-N-Out as an option but I don't miss it like I miss TJ's. I think Central Texas has many really good burger options. So far I cannot say the same in regards to reasonably priced grocery stores with unique goodies. I am not a fan of Whole Paycheck, the one Sprouts I have been into left me underwhelmed, Central Market is nice but spendy and HEB while a great store does not have the intimacy and uniqueness that TJ's has. That's just my opinion but I am sure a TJ's will be very well received here in Austin.

I haven't been to a P. Terry's yet. I will have to give them a try the next time that I am in Austin.
