I can't tell you how many people have told me that I "look just like....."
I get that all the time also! My entire life!

Lately, with the short cropped graying hair and goatee, it's Eric Clapton I'm told I look like - all the time. Years ago when I was skinny and had long hair it was Phil Lesh the bass player for the greatful dead. In the 1990s when I bulked up, it was home run slugger Mark McGuire.

And then there's the random stuff like, "did you use to live in Boulder? You look just like a guy my ex wife dated ...".

Lately when people say "you look familiar...did you use to live in", I deadpan with "were you in the drunk tank at Travis County Jail last weekend?", and that normally stops the conversation. (I don't drink, by the way)

Steve

Sorry - it was caught on a line. Here I am talking to the fisherman just before he caught it. 100_3179.jpg

I didn't know the guy, but I guess he had seen me catching frogs with my hands a few minutes before, and thought I would enjoy returning the fish.

I get that "everyman" thing as well...I guess the best thing to do is just work with it...or start your own celebrity impersonation show on the Vegas Strip...

I could think of worse people to look like than those classic rock icons...
though the morph segway from classic rock to baseball players on 'roids
was quite a transition!

LOL, the gentlemen on this forum definitely can compete with the ladies for looks (that's a compliment guys).

CaptnRn where was the most exotic place you've sailed? I'm pretty sure if I was to try crewing a sailboat I'd probably end up knocked out standing in the wrong place when the wind changed. I'll stick to my kayak.

Woodinville I don't like to assume, but were you the one posing on the bike or the one standing? Regardless, both look buff, not overweight.
