Reminds me of a great tee-shirt:
I get the "You look like..." all the time too! Usually to somewhat horrifying people that I don't think are attractive at all (the one I get the most is Kirstin Dunst and occasionally "Mary Jane Watson," heh). Or to someone's 2nd cousin who I'm the spitting image of.

That T-Shirt reminds me of that awesome scene in Monty Python's "The Life Of Brian" (I think) where the crowd all yells at the same time:

"We are all individuals!"

And you hear someone say "I'm not!" and then "Shhhh!" from the crowd. That makes me laugh every time.

CaptnRn where was the most exotic place you've sailed? I'm pretty sure if I was to try crewing a sailboat I'd probably end up knocked out standing in the wrong place when the wind changed. I'll stick to my kayak.

Woodinville I don't like to assume, but were you the one posing on the bike or the one standing? Regardless, both look buff, not overweight.
I'm pretty sure that stick that is attached to the bottom of a sail is called a boom, because that is the sound it makes when it hits you in the head. I can attest to that!

I have bareboat chartered in the British and US Virgin Islands on 3 occasions, it was gorgeous.

CaptnRn - Thanks for the BOOM - it wasn't in my vocabulary and hope it won't ever be personally experienced being hit in the head.

I miss sailing. Until moving here I've always lived near the pacific ocean and raced sailboats. There is nothing quite like being on a 15 foot boat miles off the coast. Very pieceful.

The Austin Yacht Club has a pretty active racing season, Austin Yacht Club and on race days they pretty much open the gates so you don't have to be a member and if you walk around and chat it up a bit you can usually find some boats looking for extra crew, especially if you have some experience. I just noticed they have a "Want to Crew" and "Need Crew" links on their web page under racing, Austin Yacht Club In fact it looks like there is an open invitation for crew for the Keelboat class.

Lots of people keep boats in Seabrook and sail to the Caribbean and Mexico.
