and $15.51 at LAP making Escapes

Nearly 17,000 show up to try for Ford jobs in Louisville
The Ford job will start at $16, but will have superior benefit package, and a pension when you get older. Ford would be the better place for the individual.

You asked why foreign cars suck - he gave you an example where it doesn't seem to suck so his example seems to make sense. Now you give him your own example of F-150 which doesn't seem to suck either. Please explain me why your example is needed in this discussion? Or how your example proves his civic sucks?

Almost shameful you need someone to help you figure this out. Is not 240,000 when sold in 07, and still going today better than 180,000 miles? Maybe you have some new math that proves otherwise?

So a vehicle that has 180,000 miles sucks because it's foreign?

MrWilly logic:

my car has 240k+ miles, yours has 180k miles
240>180
therefore, my car is better than yours
therefore, your car sucks
your car is foreign
therefore, all foreign cars suck
QED

your car was assembled outside the US
my car was assembled outside the US
your car is foreign
my car is domestic
outsourcing jobs is bad for America
therefore, all foreign cars suck
QED

Hyundai also offers health and dental, pension, and 401k. That's pretty much expected nowadays for a large company, and they want to keep valuable employees. Asian companies are more strict however, and will not tolerate bad employees. If an employee lays out all the time or won't do their job, they're outta there.

I have a couple of "sucky" foreign cars. '92 Toyota pickup (V-6, auto, 2wd) with 240k miles. A friend has virtually the same truck and only got 480k before he rebuilt the engine. And he did so be cause he had burned an exhaust valve due to not adjusting the valves ever. Bottom end was still within new tolerances. Truly sucky.
I also have a '92 Accord with only 91k miles. So I went to Auto Trader online to see what my car might be worth. I searched '90-'93 Accords. Almost all were over 100k, 40+ over 200k, 6 over 300k, 1 over 400k, and 1 over 500k. More evidence of inferior, sucky cars. Try to look for '90's domestic cars, and not the collector types, but Corsica's and Taurus's.
I have to admit that our 2002 Accord had an auto trans that went belly-up @ 80k miles. Even though the warrenty ended 2.5 years and 44k miles earlier, Honda gave us a new transmission without us even asking. They said "the transmission should not fail with so little miles". Another sucky experience.
We had a '00 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. Loved the looks and performance. In 80k miles, the dealer replaced valve lifters, torque converter, 3 ECU's, crank position sensor, wheel speed sensor, and several other items I can't remember. We traded it for a '03 Mazda Protege 5 that our daughter still has, with 170k. Sucky Mazda.
You might prefer domestic cars, which is great, but the statement "all Foreign cars suck" truly shows your ignorance. I prefer Honda's and Toyota's, but would never say " all domestic cars suck". It's simply not true.
Cheers

Op needs to catch up ;this isn't the 40's. Its domestic makers who dropped the ball. Even they admit that but then looking at the current GM problems maybe they lied.
