You can buy a Ford F150 that costs over 90 grand today if you want. No waiting for the 2018 to come out. They've been around for the last 10 years that I'm aware of. Ever heard of an F150 FTX? That's what they call them. Willie from Duck Commander is/was driving one. It's for folks that have dainty bottoms apparently.

Perspective in life changes when you get money. I'm just a blue collar stiff who was already doing alright when my stake of a crypto currency NEM skyrocketed earlier this year and more than doubled my net worth. Suddenly spending $20K on a vehicle is the least of my concerns, but I'll admit, I'm still not going to spend huge bucks on a luxury vehicle, because it's against the way I'm wired. I always try to go for the "bang for the buck" segment, and bought myself a 2012 camry with 20K miles with the V6 engine for $18K a year before I hit it big with this NEM.

Had I known I was going to come across this money I would have gotten a lightly used, decked out 2015 Impala instead, LTZ or 2LTZ, for around $23K. Those are some nice cars.

For someone with $1 million in the bank or who pulls in $250K per year, spending $100K on a vehicle isn't such a big deal, I'd imagine. I aim at the lightly used segment, $15-25K personally. I won't buy another car for awhile though.

I will say, that's one ugly looking truck, but I've never liked the front grilles on Fords. There are FAR better vehicles to spend $100K on, but to each their own.

My coworkers spend from $30,000 to around $45,000 for new trucks, but this week one of them bought a GMC Denali truck for $65,000. This truck is loaded with everything one can imagine, even a 10-speed fully automatic transmission. That's what he wanted, and he can afford the truck.

The thing is that those who can afford buying the things they want should just go ahead and buy, and I don't see any problem with it because it's their money. As for me, I usually buy cash and used, and pay from $5,000 to $12,000 maximum. I drive the car or truck and let the local mechanics take care of the things I can't do, except for oil/filter changes, light body work and paint, and so on.

You must buy the ones that roll in on wheels Even the most dumpiest house in Bismarck, ND is still over $100k or $98k if you want a shed.

This truck won't cost me $94k because I'm not in the market for one

Please, will somebody bring back the little utility pickup? A modern version of the Chevy LUV, the Mazda B2000, etc. No frills. Cloth seats and hand crank windows. Maybe a small extended cab area to stash a few items. A 6-ft bed. Something that will fit in your garage. I think a modern version of a small utility pickup with say, 180hp 4 cyl mated to a 6 spd tranny, will perform a lot better than the 1980's mini-trucks. And sell them for under $20k!

I think it is a good move by Ford. Tons of super expensive trucks on the road and there will be buyers for it. Yep, people in trucks are making big money because no one wants to do labor type work. It will sell. Watch. IT jobs are toast.

Very interesting, John . . . does seem a little steep.

Actually, $94k is "chump change" compared to what many pay for high end Mercedes, Rolls Royces and Bentleys to name just a few. Also, let's not forget those "Mega Exclusive Italian Sports Cars."

You are so correct and with this truck you can tow, carry a heavy load and take it off road compared to a Bentley,or a Rolls Royce. There will be a market for it for the Richard Branson’s of the World who like to take life to the extreme.
