Why would you hit for Ibanez? Would you honestly expect a-rod to make contact with the ball? Let him concentrate on picking up girls in the stands and I don't look too much into the right lefty matchup argument

Ibanez career vs L: .264 avg, .314 OBP, .421 SLG, 6.2% BB, 20.3% K
Ibanez career vs R: .288 avg, .354 OBP, .498 SLG, 9.5% BB, 13.9% K

Ibanez is significantly worse vs lefties. You can't put up that kind of hitter with your season on the line.

Girardi would get killed if he pitch hit a-rod regardless of your line of reasoning. Just imagine Yankees fans yelling out the same insults that Girardi follows his "black book" blindly. Ibanez was the hot-hand and imo, the right man in that spot. Coke was careful with him and executed a perfect slider to end the game BUT not the series. Yankees have CC going for game 4 and 7 on short rest if necessary. Plus, Pettite is pitching game 5 and kuroda game 6. This is far from over.

Ibanez has had his moment in the sun and now he will be headed home.

He should get killed for letting Ibanez hit. Terrible decision.

Managers should manage to win games, not to avoid getting yelled at

You are one of the few that feel this way (in reference to your first comment). Anyways, as I stated before, I don't think this series is over.

If I was A-Rod I wouldn't play at all in Game 4

LOL! Baghdad bob becomes a baseball fan.

Seriously, it's over. Yanks can't score - end of story. They've gone into the 9th inning of every game in this series scoreless. Not a thing goin' for them.
