Braves fans are rather milquetoast, from my experience. Part of that could just be the laid-back Southern vibe, though.
Pirates fans have 18 reasons to disguise themselves as empty seats: 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
I'd say the worst fans are those whose primary reason for going to games is to be seen, as opposed to following the game. Cubs and Red Sox fans are the most flagrant offenders in this regard.
I actually admire the hostile fan bases like the Phillies and the Dodgers. They tend to be the best trash-talkers.

I've been to Dodger stadium about 4 or 5 times and it's not very hostile. I've worn my Phillies jersey there every time and not had more than 5 words said to me. In terms of hostility I don't think anything compares to Fenway or Yankee stadium. This isn't to say they have the best or the most loyal fans but you're a moron to wear an opposing team's jersey to either stadium.
The worst fans in baseball, without question, are Oakland A's fans. If you don't believe me, go to the stadium wearing opposing colors.
LoL really? Cuz when I looked on the tv and saw the A's v Yanks game it looked like Yankee stadium west over there. The whole stadium cheered when Arod hit a grand slam and the whole stadium went up.
This was the same guy that walked across the mound when braden was pitching, and this as IN OAKLAND.
Oakland = yankee/fenway park west and Att&t park east
