LOS ANGELES - A 42-year-old Santa Cruz man was in critical condition at a Los Angeles area hospital Friday after being beaten and kicked by two men wearing Dodgers attire in the parking lot of Dodger Stadium Thursday night, according to Los Angeles police.
Bryan Stow went to the opening game with three friends, at least some of whom work with him at American Medical Response, said his brother-in-law, David Collins of Scotts Valley.
Stow, a Giants fan, is a father of two who works as a paramedic, Collins said. Friends said he worked in Santa Clara County.
The Giants will probably exploit this story to enhance their claim that they have too many San Jose area fans to allow the A's to relocate to Santa Clara County. You know...so loyal that they will take a beating for the team.
This reminds me of the final game of the '79 World Series when a large group of Pirate fans danced on top of the Oriole dugout and security did nothing to stop them. Perhaps it was a final farewell dance to the World Series in Pittsburgh.

I grew up in Santa Clara County, still have family there. It is and always has been Giants country.
Proved yesterday once again. Two giants fans in intensive care. If that were in Philly no one would ever hear the end of it. Dodgers stadium has become thug central in recent years
After the Bartman debacle it has to be Cubs fans. Really because a fan reached out to catch a foul ball? The Cubs had plenty of chances to win that game but they blew it. Alex Gonzalez had an error after that and then the Prior gave up a hit.
