Seems your hateraide has you blind bro.

Not at all, he's ok. I like this list a bit better with Duncan at #10. Only thing on this one is Id flip Shaq and Olajuwon.

Best NBA Players Of All Time

1 Micheal Jordan
2 Magic Johnson
3 Kareem
4 Larry Bird
5 Wilt
6 Kobe
7 Russell
8 Olajuwon
9 Shaq
10 Duncan

We can asterisk championships by pointing out talent around the player etc. but you don't get on all-nba teams by accident.

Otherwise we have to point out that Kobe never won a championship without being alongside a HOF center in their prime.

It shouldn't. He needs another 3 or 4 years of his continued crazy shooting display and a title or two to be in the discussion.

Lebron isn't three. I'm a Cavs fan and I'm saying it. Its not because he joined Wade and Bosh to win his titles. We could say the same for others on this list. But it will be hard to deny Lebron a top 5 spot if he wins a title or two in Cleveland. Add to the fact he will pass and climb the record books in MANY categories to close out this decade. He's a "numbers machine" just about more than anyone on this list. At 34 he could be the ONLY player in NBA history Top 10 in Points AND Assists.

2000s,Shaq,Kobe,Duncan
That's 10 right there with no bias.

So for LeBron to be 3 on Espn all time was them trying to start a great debate,The man has only 2 rings,Lost 4 finals,Possibly 5 this year,May never win another ring and only won a couple rings because he joined other hall of famers in their prime SMH !!!!

If anybody has the 2010s it's Curry if he wins 2 more rings so i think Hakeem is the only one in the top 10 not safe.
I think Kobe and Shaq helped each other to titles. I take that back THEY DID.

It sparked your comment, so my comment can't be too off base.

And just for the record.

Win Shares

Duncan - 204.8
Bird - 145.8

Win Shares Per 48

Duncan - .210
Bird - .203

Peak Win Shares Per 48

Duncan - .257 (01-02)
Bird - .244 (85-86)

Peak Offensive Win Shares

Duncan - 10.7 (01-02)
Bird - 10.5 (84-85)

Peak Value Over Replacement

Bird - 8.7 (85-86)
Duncan - 8.1 (01-02)

Player Efficiency Rating

Duncan - 24.3
Bird - 23.5

Duncan beats out Bird by most advanced metrics despite having had many more seasons to deteriorate. The "rings" argument can't apply here because Duncan has 5 to Larry's 3. Bird does have more MVPs but I don't think that really matters. Duncan's peak was just as good if not better and his career has spanned three decades.

I knew my thoughts on Bird had some merit. From almost the start of this thread, I was pushing to have Bird moved down or off the list.

Compare Duncan to Magic and several others and you'll see similar results.

Duncan really does have *it all* just like Kobe, Jordan, Kareem....
They have career totals.
Obscene numbers of all-nba selections
Finals mvps\rings
MVPs

Pooh poohing that Duncan had a "great system" when freakin' 4 of the guys on the list played WITH each other kareem\magic and Shaq\Kobe just points out what a lame excuse that is.

Just on longevity and career totals I would move Duncan AND Kobe in front of Shaq & Olajuwon & Bird....probably Magic too because they ALL have tons of all-nba selections, MVP's, Rings etc. so what's the tie-breaker? Well doing it longer is in my book.
