Where does it say that it has closed though? This was in the article: "DeGraff's emergency department has expanded, with major new facilities slated to open Nov. 15. Besides the ER, some other facilities will remain, including DeGraff's Wellness Center."

"DeGraff has been shrinking for years. Two years ago, the 105-year-old hospital stopped doing surgery and closed its Intensive Care Unit. CWA 1168 says infusion, radiology, CT scan, mammography, EKG, Echo and Pharmacy are among the services closing at the hospital.

My question is, if they are no longer doing surgery, closed ICU, closed radiology and other services, what can they do with the Emergency services in the "major new facility"?

The previous article already stated what is going to be there and they can attend to more minor issues. With all of this said, it still isn’t closed, which is what another poster said.
To bring this back on track to what the thread is actually about...

City of Niagara Falls proper still only has 1 hospital left just like Buffalo has bare minimum services and no choices and for most speciality medical services you have to go to Rochester, Cleveland & Pittsburgh
"The two hospitals signed a collaboration agreement last February that started with screenings and treatment for thoracic oncology in response to high rates of lung cancer in the Niagara Falls area."
"Niagara County has the 6th highest cancer incidence rate among New York state’s 62 counties. The cancer death rate there is higher than 76 percent of the state’s counties and is nearly 36 percent higher than the state average. For people with intellectual disabilities who are now living longer, cancer is one of the three main causes of death."
Doesn't surprise me in the least. Cancer and corruption are synonymous with Niagara County, New York.
They fix 104 through there, yet? For decades is was a mess, last drove through there in '06, the road resembled something out a dystopian nightmare movie.

Nope. It hasn't changed. 104 is a disaster in that area
