"The experience of the OP is nothing new.

Way back in 1977 I moved with my family from Montreal to Los Angeles. I was in 10th grade. When I announced to my classmates my upcoming move, one girl totally flipped out. "You're going to be meeting PAUL NEWMAN and ROBERT REDFORD!!!" she shrieked.

In San Juan Bautista, where they filmed Vertigo, there was an article in the local newspaper that said that she shows up from time to time to stroll around the town and film site.
