Nice but weird.

As far as the rest of the country, it is also really weird to go look at my webcams in the Sierras and see pretty much no snow. The Yosemite webcam shows no snow in the peaks surrounding the valley.

Here is a pic from the Mineral King (Sequoia National Park) webcam from January 5th of last year:

Here is the pic from today:

Of course, now that I have written this, I expect the weather to change quickly and we will get dumped with snow starting next week.
It would be intresting to own or operate a snow lodge.

The so called rain fall was very weak today. We got maybe 2 mins of sprinkles & now its sunny. This winter will surely be a dry one here. Next chance of rain is 20% next weekend.

I was trying to figure out this comment, and, after re-reading my post, thought maybe it sounded like I owned a snow lodge. Sorry, wouldn't that be nice? LOL.

I live in New Hampshire. The photos are some I have taken as screenshots of a webcam I watch, set up by the National Parks in Mineral King:

I watch lots of webcams, in Yosemite and Glacier and Yellowstone parks, among lots of others, including wildlife webcams.

Anyway, perhaps you meant something else altogether, but just in case thought I would explain my post.

I knew what you meant. I just find snow lodges cozy & inviting & would love to own one if i had the means. I cant view the web cams on my internet system.

OK, gotcha. Too bad about not being able to watch webcams, they are a nice way to travel (if you can't travel).

BTW, Walt Disney was looking to build a ski resort in the Mineral King valley, I'm so glad it never went through, it is one of my favorite places in the world.

I can attest to that, lol. In southern NH we got 2 feet of snow on October 30th, and another storm the day before Thanksgiving, but up until a few days ago we were having an abnormally dry and warm winter - with temps 10-20F above normal. That is until this past weekend when the wind chills have been around -10 to -20F...
