Someone mentioned the Oakland Tribune; my parents subscribed to that, along with the Chronicle, until it fizzled. They also had milk delivered from "Berkeley Farms" in glass bottles, through the 1990's! I have no idea where those "Berkeley Farms" were located at that point, certainly no longer in Berkeley, lol!

Does anyone remember the alternative radio station in the East Bay, I forget what it was called? Started maybe in the 60's or early 70's? I don't think it's around anymore. I knew one of the guys who started it, though; he'd moved to Seattle, and started another, similar, radio station there.

Orion, have you seen the latest proposal for the Nut Tree? They want to bring it back, but turn it into a huge Disney-style development, with apartment-style residential development. Kind of scary to think that there's that kind of demand for housing, that someplace outside Vacaville could be successful.

Certainly do not remember all of what you do, but loved Sally Stanford's, especially when she would be on site. It was one of our go to places when we had out of town company from Los Angeles. Also remember Dominics and the Nut Tree. We would always stop at the Nut Tree on our way to Sac or Tahoe. How about the restaurant; The Refectory? For young kids in our 20s and 30s with a young family, it was a real treat to go to dinner there. To us, it was high class. Of course taking friends through Height Ashbury was a really adventure. Then there was the fun days of a drive up above Santa Rosa to the Italian Swiss Colony winer. There were lots of wineries, but that was so different from others for some reason. Again a great place to take out of town company. Of course I am going back 50 years ago or almost.
