Hello all,
I have never been to cali and I would like to know what beaches would you recommend for the thanksgiving vacation. It will be just me and my mom, kinda a girls week trip during the holidays. We are looking to be near a beach or close by within walking distance. Also we would like to have a good thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant. Other than that, it is just basically a relaxing girl trip for the week. What areas in cali would you recommend that will still be fairly warm during November. Are there any resorts that would offer an all inclusive deal. Thanks for the help!

Warm compared to what? The farther south you go, the warmer is it.

compared to beaches on the east coast. I dont want to be freezing while I am trying to enjoy the water and ocean breeze in my lounge chair.

First off, no one calls it Cali. It is California, and Southern California is the land of palm trees, beautiful sunsets and warm winter breezes. You should have a wonderful time there.

In late November there is no guarantee of warm ocean breezes in California but, on the other hand, it will likely be warmer than any East Coast beach [except Florida, of-course].

From San Diego Co up to Santa Barbara there are some great beach areas but hotels may be booked for Thanksgiving.

I apologize for calling your state cali. But I do remember at one time during my youth it was called that. Maybe not by the elite, but by the regular folk.

But thanks for the info, I guess I will just have to investigate a little further. I have yet to truthly experience california and would prefer to come out west than to stay on the east. But we shall see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't expect warm water, especially in November.

People call it "Cali" all the time and there always people telling them no one calls it that. If no one calls it "Cali" then why are there always people telling others not to call it that? Who cares, the term is fine and means the same damn thing as California.

Most likely it will be in the 60's that time of year, not warm but not cold I guess. If we have Santa Ana winds or any offshore flow it might be in the 70's or 80's. Weather that time of year is kind of hit or miss when it comes to warm sunny days. It will be mild more than likely, nothing as cold as the east coast. The water will not be warm enough to swim in though at all, in the 50's by that time.

Hawaii is amazing during Thanksgiving if you can get there. If not then somewhere in Southern CA will be nice, San Diego gets the least amount of rain during the winter so I'd go with that.

if you want all inclusive resorts, you may want to look at mexico for your vacation.
