Read the arguements for and against 1f here: http://www.voterguide.sos.ca.gov/pdf-guide/props/prop1f-arguments.pdf (broken link)

The only reason to vote for 1F is to make yourself feel good. It is worthless...it was put on the ballot only to make a "good sounding" end. Doing so is a long term advertising trick....start with a teaser. End with a teaser....the empty promises are in the middle.

DON'T FALL FOR IT.

VOTE NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!

I think a cap and increased rainy day fund is better than not having one at all.
If we vote no they don't get any more money. This alone creates a spending cap. Don't get the $ can't spend the $. If we give it to them they will find something to spend it on cap or no cap. They'll just tell that it's for our good.

I'm voting yes on 1F even if it does no good. Just another message to them. It can't hurt.

That's an excellent point! The KSFO Morning Show's Lee Rodgers and Officer Vic manage to keep quiet after one of their ads; this has to be the reason why!

Ballot Roundup: No, No, No, No, No and Leaning No.

The problem with that is that it just encourages them to raise taxes enough to cover any deficit. "Oh no, I won't get my raise unless I vote for more taxes."

Send them an unmixed message. Vote no on everything so that they understand that we're tired of this crap.

I can see your point, but can't do it. I just have to say if you can't budget you can't have a raise

Don't fret Beanie. You'll vote your way and I'll vote mine. Let the cards fall where they may.

In fact that's the hook in the measure, and also in 1A. They give you the feeling that you're decreasing the power of elected officials. It's the feel but not the substance. It's the sizzle but not the steak.

So how did they just get more money from us then? Vote No and there is still nothing stopping them from raising your taxes again. I don't get why people are so simple minded and naive enough to believe that voting No prevents them from raising taxes when it doesn't at all. Vote No and they can still find a way to get more money and probably will have even more reason to do so.
