Good morning my dear friends!
Still fighting with this cold--ugh! Although it is better it is still uncomfortable. DH had a sore throat yesterday and really felt badly. I told him if he isn't better by today I think a Dr visit to his GP would be in order. Better safe then sorry. I can gargle with salt water but DH has no muscles in his throat so he is very limited as to what he can do to fight off that infection and that worries me. Fingers crossed he will feel better today!
It is still lovely weather here. Enjoy your day!

I got the SAME cold (at the very WORST time!) yesterday. For your husband and you, I'm a strong believer in 2 aspirins every 4 hours (even children's aspirin). Also, about 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, 2 tablespoons honey and about a cup of boiling hot water. When it cools off enough, the two of you drink it. It does wonders for clearing your throat. You also know, of course, PLENTY of water - as much as you can drink.
Be careful with him Cyn, when people are not moving around as much as they should or can, the phlegm can really get a chance to settle in (hence the water - keep it moving). Colds turn to pneumonia VERY quickly in the old. Pneumonia has historically been known as "the old person's friend". It'll kill you quicker than you can imagine. I'm not trying to scare you - I just want you to be aware why it's so important to keep taking liquids.
Thanks for the ideas. I can do them but my DH has trouble drinking much water--he has to sip it very slowly. I know he is at risk of pneumonia so that is why I am considering taking him to see his Dr. He has decided to wait until this afternoon to see how he feels and then if necessary make an appointment for tomorrow. His Neurologist that we saw yesterday said as long as it is viral cold we should be ok but if he starts getting a temperature, which he hasn't so far, then we will need to go to the Dr. There really isn't anything they can do for him or give him unless it becomes a bacterial cold--like pneumonia...that is what scares me! I hate just waiting! I'm sure we got it from our company even though they waited what should have been plenty long enough for her to not be contagious....the germs can still be on things I guess. No matter--we could have gotten it from the store...it just happens and we can only do our best to not catch anything. I hate colds but it's so much worse when you have the concern for someone else in a situation like my DH's. I know I'll get over it as it runs it's course but with him--well, it is a concern!

That is a good way to put it NMS--like walking on egg shells. I'm not good at waiting..
But I am trying to stay busy listing which I am so far behind right now. I feel like I am drowning in things to list but one day at a time--it's all I can do.
Location: Finally made it to Florida and lovin' every minute!

I think I've told you the old saying that helps me when I feel overwhelmed (I had posted it on my desk at work years ago). How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
Good morning! Sending prayers that your colds improve today.
