Remember this Cyn? If it is a cold....those little germs do manage to get around. Blame games and guilt trips won't change that! Hang in there, I hope it is only allergies, makes sense too, about all the mowing.

Sleep well, sleep peacefully. (Hugs)

Good morning friends!
Yes Smilin', I agree about elston!
I feel much better today thank you all for the good wishes!
This morning DH has a Dr appointment with his Neurologist so hopefully that will go smoothly. Seems like with the progression of this ugly disease each Dr visit is a little more upsetting which would only be natural because we aren't seeing improvement which would be the normal situation if this were a normal disease. It does get frustrating and honestly I can't see anyone getting use to it but at least we are aware of it and are trying to deal with the best way we can. It's now to the point I can barely understand a word my DH says and I know that has to be so frustrating for him--it is for me too. He's starting to use some hand signs to help me understand now so that does help. Not real hand signs just signs that help me to understand what he is trying to say.
At least the weather is perfect so the ride won't be bad. Everyone enjoy this lovely fall weather and have a nice day!

If his hand strength and dexterity is still good....it might be fun for the two of you to learn some simple "sign" language......or like you say develop your own.....but studying some sign might be an alternative to TV when he wants your company. Maybe....or maybe not. Just an idea.

Good morning, all. Best of luck with the doctor, Cyn.

How about one of those white erasable boards or are his hands too shaky? Just a thought.

A good idea to practice communicating by simple signs or even by eye bliks when he is tired.

You will need that in the future and communication will get very frustrating in the future.

been there, done that

Thanks for the ideas. I can see that happening Teddy.

Home again and I'm feeling funky again. Nose started running and my throat is raspy feeling--oh joy! All I want to do is go lay down but critters are waiting on dinner as is DH so looks like there is no rest for the wicked! Guess I'll just heat up some meatballs to have over mashed potatoes with a veggie.
The Dr said DH is stable right now although it seems to me he is having more issues to me. Guess when you live with someone you see it up close and personal--not just numbers and such!
