A bit of an emotional wreck today. This morning DH broke into tears and said this is the first time in almost 28 years he is unable to take me someplace or do anything for me for my birthday. I told him he just needs to love me..that's the best gift ever! Still it has left us both sad.....

Awwww Cyn, it's just a sad reminder of the realities of life with your DH's ALS..... Just hold tight to each other, love each other, and remember that love is the strongest bond there is, and it is still there when all those presents, trips, and other tangible celebrations of your special day are over and gone....
The love is what you will remember....and take with you wherever your paths lead you.....
