I always thought she was a bit of a "Hell beast", myself. Based on tv appearances, I never liked her arrogant personality at all. But I still think she was very talented.

While I appreciate the effort, CNN has almost no credibility with me. All they have talked about for over a year is Russia and a porn star fling.

By the way, I have concluded that Trump is going to wind up being a monster. This is not a conservatives knee jerk response.

Madonna is a C rate singer but a decent songwriter, a passable actress, a trained dancer, an artist and a shrewd business woman. She is also a skilled marketer. She is basically Kim Kardashian with talent. I think one thing that gets overlooked is that she had an excellent eye for art and sub cultures. So she was one of the first who could truly exploit MTV and the links between stage images, videos, cover art, pulling outside influences into the mainstream, etc.


The only other women who can claim that type of career are Streisand, Dolly Parton and Tina Turner (who was possibly the hardest working woman in show business and vastly underrated in terms of intelligence.)

I don't think any rational person took the statement at face value. Those waving it around like a red flag are the ones who already didn't like her and/or her message and were just looking for any fuel to throw on the fire.

I do think it undermines her "resolution of love" spiel, though. If your idea of love is to get together with a bunch of people who think exactly the way you do and collectively hate those who think differently you really don't know what love is.
