we are looking for a store that sells good loose tea. I know there is stores online, but I rather go to a store where I can smell the tea rather then just reading about it.
Anyone know of a tea store thats in the goose creek / charleston area?

Thanks.

Earthfare and Whole Foods both sell loose teas, if I recall. Earthfare has a tea room in the rear of the store.

There is a place called Charleston Tea company across from the Visitors Center. It's basically at the base of the visitors center. They sell teas and tea related items but also sandwiches and the like. Not sure how great they are as I usually have a sweet tea and sandwich but it might be worth a look. Also Williams Sonoma on King might be of some help and the cooking store on East Bay with the test/demonstration kitchen.

I supply and sell loose leaf tea as well as tea bags. I specialize in selling Kenya tea, which is a high quality tea in the World. Kenya's tea is so good that it is used for blending other tea. I can supply you with the greatest tea in the world. It is hand picked and organically grown and no pesticides are used. Its so good that the moment you open the packet you can smell the strong aroma. Check the web site. Handmade in Africa.

You might also call or visit the Charleston Tea Plantation on Wadmalaw Island where they grow tea (American Classic). You can tour the tea farm and taste various teas...many people don't know about it, but it is a fun and unique experience. I would imagine that you can purchase loose tea there.

I have taken the Bigelow tea farm tour you mentioned, and found it to be a lot of fun. Very unique experience, for sure. I highly recommend it!
