I'll have to remember that station for our next trip. When we were visiting last summer it seemed as if every station was playing oldies.

Pam,

The speakers were one of the best investments we made. We have them in the great room, sun room, library and outside. The music is on the TV (HD) You get continuous music....40's, 50's, 60's etc, great standards, classical, big band, rock, hard rock(not for me) and anything else you can imagine. I usually listen to the great standards since it's a mixture. You can also use your CD's. The player comes with the system. It's so great to be able to sit out in Feb and listen.

Maryjane,

I'm sure you can put something up for privacy, since they build screen decks, etc. We pay Cane Bay 100.00 a year. Our HOA fees are 199.00 a month which includes everything...mowing, weeding, etc landscaping around the community and the amenity center. It's really not a lot for what we get.

Stella,
My husband is a music nut. We have speakers wired throughout our entire home, inside and out! His plans are to set up our new home the same way, which is why I was thrilled to read your post!
Just this morning I received an e-mail from DW telling me about some spec houses that have gone up. We are most interested in "Surrey Crest" and the e-mail said that there were two of those models available on Oyster Bay Dr. It's really a shame for us because we can't make a move until we sell up here. The housing market here in NY is the absolute worst I can ever remember. In utter desperation, people are pricing homes at "give away"prices and they still can't sell them! We'll just have to sit tight and hope for the best.

Pam,

It's really too bad houses aren't selling. We just about made it. Sold our house Sept 07'. Most of us(the first ones to buy here) bought here before we even put our houses on the market. Some moved here and hadn't sold their houses, but most have by now. They do have a few spec houses built. There's one next door to me (Bluffton..smallest of the largest collection) Hope we get nice neighbors.

They are having a sales promotion this week end and next week end...serving hot dogs and gelato. We are all invited.

If PULTE is the builder beware! I live in Sun City Hilton Head and we have massive problems here.

There are some who have had problems (we haven't had much). However with a year's warranty everything was fixed and I haven't spoken with anyone who is not happy. All of the structure is built well along with the plumbing, heating, AC, roof, electric, etc. We did have to have some of our hardwood fllor replaced but it was done and it looks great. I guess the key is to get things done within the year. I would think if anything is going to happen it would happen within the year. How many builders give a year's warranty?
