You all are right -- if the development is in Union County, it's highly
unlikely Charlotte would cross county lines to annex it. But Charlotte isn't
the only city that annexes. All of Mecklenburg County will eventually belong
to one of the seven municipalities -- the towns agreed years ago how to
carve up the county.
Union County, meanwhile, has some 14 different cities and towns so the
subdivision would likely be forcefully or voluntarily annexed at some point.
It's really just a matter of time.
This is a great neighborhood, especially for the money. We have friends there and it seems that kids of all ages are everywhere. Not the rowdy type either.
They're building a new Target and tons of shopping right near there and it's only 15 minutes from I-485 as well as Ballantyne.
