Believe so, although it was close and I think Walmart was pretty close as well. Although admittedly it's been a little while since the last time I checked. I know there are some articles from 2010 or so saying Publix passed Kroger but I could've sworn I read something since then saying Kroger took back the top spot.
Kroger's resurgence to the top in the Atlanta, Georgia market could be attributed to its Kroger Marketplace stores throughout its Atlanta Division.
The Marketplace stores are nice having a department store in addition to the necessities of food, pharmacy, and fuel. The drawback to these large stores is opening many of them in specific areas of a market/region. Opening non-Marketplace stores would be the way to go in communities that cannot support a Marketplace store.
Harris Teeter sells shellfish, especially shrimp, that has been adulterated with sodium tripolyphosphate. It's used in floor detergent. It's a shame considering their prices. The USDA allows it as it's "generally" considered safe. It's used to make the seafood hold water.
Costco is a good place to find sea food without this stuff added.

Two different stores. The Steele Creek store is at 49 & 160, the Whitehall store is at 49 & 485.
