Was it not last week or so when a couple wanted to find other straight couples to hang with and they were bombasted with negativity. Get it straight people.
Whites and straights cannot want to be with themselves with out being derelict but every other so called minority has open call? What is up?
Its all about the "tone" of one's questions. For example, if someone is single and new to city, and is looking for "like" singles, there's nothing wrong with simply asking, "Where can I find other people like me?" Versus folks who are blatantly asking inflammatory questions.

Hi Carolina Blue.
Well it sounds like you are the PR person for us folks coming into Charlotte :-) I wonder if I can get you to send me a copy of the links you have, in the past, sent out to people re the area, I sure would appreciate it.. I live in Va Beach now , previously from NYC but as soon as I get my home sold I am headed to Charlotte, and excited about the move. I have spent countless hours at this computer looking at areas and places to live. Do you have any comments on the Blakeney/Ballantyne area which I am focusing on right now, hoping there is something in my price range. or any other areas. I have friends in Columbia who want me to come there but I don't think so. :-) I would like to rent for a few months and look around before I jump into anything unless something really grabs me. I plan to come down for a couple of day in June to look over the area so I can make some decisions. I am not great working with this site and finding things but I'm working on it My e-mail is opaleast@gmail.com just in case. Thanks, it is so good to have some help from this site and your group

I actually replied to you last week in the other thread; the one about Charlotte being ranked the #1 place to live. I'd said that area you're considering is very nice. But you mentioned diversity, so please understand its not as diverse as the University Area or Steele Creek. Also, please read through the pages in this thread, sorry, I know its long, but I eventually posted the information people were asking about in the actual thread. It was just the stuff you quoted previously and some newspaper articles (see page 3). I hope this helps. If you have any other specific questions, feel free to ask.

Default over 11000 views

I am fascinated by the fact that there have been over 11k views of this thread. Anybody like to venture a guess why (what I think) is a great deal of interest. It's interesting to me as an investor in NC.

Secondly, is there a way one can determine how these viewers came to this site? ie: members, search engines etc.

I would suggest asking in the About the Forum section of this forum and you may get an answer.

Maybe not today, but I was born and raised there, and so were my children. We turned out put good. The same argument can be made about Charlotte, or any other major city.

What is wrong with people? Everyone knows everyone has to work. So why is it that people are so difficult to get along with sometimes on a job. You can have a job paying you a reasonable salary, job location is good, and your hours are perfect, but there always someone who screws it up for everyone. Is there someone out there not having this problem, or is happy on their job, truly.

Does anyone have an article or listing of African-Americans in Charlotte that are VP's, Presidents, CEO's, and business owners? Would also like to have a demographic of upper-middle class African-Americans in Mecklenburg county.
