People change the subject or it moves onto a like one in real life conversations as well. Otherwise most topics would just be a page or 2, not 8 or 10 or 12.

Poor air quality? Wow... I don't notice any negative air quality, but I used to live in Jersey, so...

all you really need to know is that Cindy Lauper is the greatest singer in the history of the world. Uh, wait, no, I meant to say stevie wonder freaking rocks! I could be wrong, but I thought I saw Bette Midler in the mix there? thank the good lord we couldn't actually hear her. Here's who I picked out and can remember, with only watching it once (I would shoot myself if I listened more than that):

The artist formerly known as a talented African American performer turned crazy white guy (Michael Jackson), Paul Simon, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Kenny Logins, Bruce Springsteen, clearly the most talented singer on the planet (Cindy Lauper), Dionne Warwick!! (wasn't she some psycho, I mean psychic or something?), Bob Dylan, some chick who sung TWO words before being drowned out by people who could actually sing, Huey Lewis, Billy Joel, Willie Nelson and Steve Perry!!! that's about the best I can do without cheating.

oh, and I shot a 92 during today's 3 hour 20 minute round, which doesn't make me grumpy at all.

C'mon, we all know what this forum is really about.

You want to get slammed? Try implying that Charlotte isn't a great place to live (as in.... isn't a great place to buy real estate).

Oh gee, and we were having so much fun for a while there

I beleive it's been repeated over and over and over, but since you missed it...

Charlotte is a great place to raise a family and the vast majority of her citizens love living here. HOWEVER, it is not paradise or perfect. No matter how much ANYONE loves it here, they never claim it's perfect. And in fact, most regulars here are happy to tell you about those imperfections when you ask in great detail.

Since it's not paradise, it's also not going to be the place for everyone - and that is OKAY by us - no skin off Charlotte's nose at all. We can't accomodate the whole country anyway - so thank goodness not everyone finds it to their liking.

HUH? We have overcrowded schools, under-developed roads/highways, little mass transit, cookie cutter subdivisions, no decent restaurants, a terrible crime rate, water restrictions and no beach. Plus, Southerners are backwards.

Terrible place to live.
