Hinsdale is a top choice for those relocating from Canada. Many nice older homes very convenient to BNSF as well as excellent access for both ORD & Midway.

I was just looking at hinsdale the other day, said they might have to pay up a bit but it looks really nice.

i would definately not exclude western springs and la grange if shopping that area. They also have incredible homes in historic charming districts... a new house built to old world standards --- thats the way to go... from outside or when you step inside you cant tell but all the modern electrical, insulation, plumbing, etc. still under the covers...

OP - do you know what kind of community your buyers want to live in?

Hinsdale and Oak Park are quite different, for example.

Sfc, you know what i mean --- good craftsmanship, house that builder cared about, quality passionate, basically not a pulte mass build neighborhood. Many teardowns that are done in historic districts are great examples - they fit in still by using timeless victorian/craftsman architecture/design and in many cases you think they are just good rehabs till you cacth the construction date...

The sorts of things that are important to most homebuyers that are relocating from a major city like Toronto to any suburb that has charming older houses, safe walkable business district, easy commute options, and schools that are central to the needs of young families make it easy to choose Hinsdale or Oak Park. Canadian citizens won't be able to vote in US elections but in neither town will any neighbors be display signs that support the yuge orange menace...

Riverside, La Grange, Hinsdale, River Forest, Glen Ellyn, Wheaton, Naperville. The last three have a lot of modern houses but have older core areas of lovely old homes.
