I didn't know there was 60164 on the west side. All the west siders I know are 60175.

Yep, everything east of Randall and south of Crane Road is still in the 60174 ZIP code. Even a small sliver west of Randall is still in the 60174 -- the bowling alley, for instance; though on the other side of the street from the bowling alley it's 60175.

I agree with Drover. When I lived in St. Charles, I lived on Oak St, close to Randall, we were 60174 there, too.

Thanks to all who helped with this thread! We finally settled on a house in Batavia this weekend. Although we agree that St. Charles or Geneva would have been more ideal, the house is a gem (beautiful Victorian) and the neighborhood is nice, so we're going to take the risk. Thanks again!
