I've been in many multi-million dollar homes on the North Shore and can't recall seeing an exposed concrete foundation in any home that was over 80 years old. There aren't a lot of posters on this forum that are familiar with old homes or from the North Shore/Gold Coast/Kenwood/Hyde Park areas where there are many older mansions, I should add.
I live in the W. Suburbs and my foundation is concrete, built in the ‘20s. It is a small home.
