Well if you get the Spicy Italian (my fave) and cover it with Pepper Jack cheese and their chipotle sauce (That's always how I made it when I worked there a million years ago) It has well over 30 grams of fat so that doesn't surprise me too much. I think it's easy to think that anything there is healthy, but it's definitely not. At the end of the day they use the same cheap ingredients as everyone else.

andrew- not to be rude but if you don't know that battered and fried chicken would be high in fat content then you must not be super knowledgeable about nutrition. Also remember that most Americanized Chinese restaurants use very cheap and low quality ingredients.

When we first moved down here there was a place called Miami Subs that has the rights to Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips. It was worth the 12 mile trip once in awhile but they closed down only a year later. Hardees now has Fish & Chips; I'll have to stop and try it.

We have Bojangles, Church's and KFC here. I'd love to taste Popeye's again. Their onion rings were the first spicy food I learned to eat.

I miss Po' Folks Chicken, an Atlanta franchise. Just the name I miss.

Back to the original question re: KFC, I think PETA and other animal rights groups have done a fairly decent job of opening eyes to KFC's less than stellar ways.... let's just say that they are not up to the "care standards" (and I use that term loosely) of some of the other fast food companies. Best to avoid (all of) them altogether in my humble opinion.

KFC--I stopped eating that years ago.
Steps:
1. Eat chicken.
2. Wait fifteen minutes.
3. Run to the bathroom.
